Creation of a Polish national centre for innovation and technology transfer in e-health

The Medical Centre for Data Processing forms a key pillar of the individual project that is the creation of a Polish national centre for innovation and technology transfer in e-health, realized as part of an EU project by Data Techno Park. As a result of the project, coming into being is the most modern data processing centre in Central and Eastern Europe dedicated to medical data and applications. The centre has been designed on the basis of the most modern of technology on a global scale, a feature of which is the almost unlimited opportunity for the expansion of the MCDP and its key technical parameters. Thanks to the use of the latest solutions in cluster technology and an innovative solution in the creation and management of databases, it will be possible to create the first integrated e-health centre in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. The MCDP (‚the heart of the project’), the e-learning laboratory and the telemedical laboratory will underpin the creation of conditions for the development of modern services provided by enterprises small, medium and large (listed on the stock exchange), including spin-off companies founded by research workers. The professionally selected DTP infrastructure will offer enterprises the development and provision of such services as:

  • creation of digital medical, statistical and multimedia databases;
  • telemedicine – assessment and description of digital medical data over distance, including teleradiology, telecardiology, teleconsultations, telediabetology and telehistology;
  • processing and storage of digital data as a business support service for innovative entities of the biomedical sector, understood in broad terms;
  • development of specialist software, including bioinformatics;
  • development of a platform and systems for e-learning for medicine and other areas;
  • development of supplementary services, e.g. call centre services.
